For private homes and villas
A spa corner for the pool villa: glass sauna, plunge pool, and a tub where space is tight
A villa already has the pool; what it lacks is the other end of the temperature scale. We design the cold plunge pool, the glass cabin and, where a pool is too much, a teak or free-standing tub, sized for your sun, your access and your electrical supply, with the machinery out of sight.
Three kinds of home
The villa you rent out, the condo you live in, the plan you are still drawing
Each has its own page, its own numbers and its own list of questions.

Villa developers and managers
A repeatable spa module drawn into the villa before the slab, and a routine that fits a morning shift.

Condos and residences
A compact glass sauna and small cold pool in 10-15 m², planned around the slab, the lift and the committee.

Architects and designers
Footprints, loads, drains and a spec sheet for glass saunas and cold plunge pools, from concept to shop drawings.

Choose the cold side first, then the heat
At home the cold plunge pool is the destination and the tub is the shortcut; the glass sauna completes the circuit when there is room for it.

Cold plunge pools
Built-in, about 1,100 litres, mosaic or travertine, held at 3-5 °C by a chiller nobody sees.

Glass saunas
Two full glass walls at a corner, or one wall and a glass door: teak and cedar, 1 to 12 seats, sized for tropical sun.

Teak cold tubs
Teak staves, white fibreglass liner, no metal hoops: 420-800 litres, chilled to 3-5 °C, private homes only.
Look closerA villa is a different brief from a hotel
A villa is used by a handful of people with time to learn how it works. That lets us choose smaller water volumes, quieter chillers and finishes that suit the architecture, from travertine edges to a slatted teak screen that matches the deck. It also means the controls can be simple: one display, one timer, a lid that fits.
What owners usually pick, by plot
| Plot | Typical build | Indicative range |
|---|---|---|
| Terrace of a pool villa | 4-seat glass sauna beside a round plunge pool | THB 700k-1.1M |
| Garden or hillside lodge | outdoor glass sauna on a teak deck with a duo | THB 1.1-1.9M |
| Townhouse landing or spare room | solo or 2-seat cabin | THB 205-380k |
| Condo balcony | free-standing ice bath tub with a quiet chiller | THB 190-270k |
Budget ranges for each component are on the budget ranges page; the configurator adds them up for your own combination. Villa buyers who rent their house out should also read wellness amenities for villa rentals, which sticks to numbers with a named source.
Three questions to answer before the layout
- Where does the afternoon sun land? It decides where the pool goes and which glass needs a coating.
- What is the electrical supply? Small cabins run on single-phase; from about 8 kW the heater is normally wired three-phase. The power note explains how to check.
- Who will switch it on? A villa with staff and a villa with a manager remote from the site need different routines, and we write the handover sheet to match.
Is a sauna worth it in a country this hot?
People use saunas in tropical climates for the same reason they use them anywhere: it is a ritual, not a temperature. A glass cabin used early, late or after rain, followed by a plunge, is a daily routine, and the glass keeps the view.
Can I build on a hillside plot?
Yes. Slopes change the plant and the access more than the equipment: panels are carried in sections, shells are cast to the slope and the plant niche is placed on the uphill side. The Phuket case note shows one.
